Marjorie Bethke, 87, of the Country View section of White Township, Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at St. Luke's Warren Campus, Phillipsburg, NJ.
Born on July 18, 1928 in Kansas City, MO, she was the daughter of the late Samuel T. Breckenridge and Lela Almeda Ecklund.
Marjorie was an Administrative Assistant for Johnson & Johnson, in Raritan, NJ before retiring.
She was a former member of the First Baptist Church of Somerville, NJ where she taught Sunday School. During her later years, Marjorie remained strong in her faith and tithed to her daughters' churches. Her favorite hymn was "It Is Well With My Soul".
In addition to her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by her husband, Herman J. Bethke, Jr., who died in 2010.
Surviving are four daughters, Barbara Jenkins, Donna Slovak, Marsha Bethke, and Marilyn Bethke; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter.
Private Services are under the direction of MacFadden Funeral Home, Belvidere, NJ.
