Crimilda R. Varela, 78, of the Country View section of White Township, Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem, PA.
Born on February 13, 1938 in Colonia, Uruguay, she was the daughter of the late Genaro Silva and Maria Elena Bassini. Crimilda came to the United States in 1970 and had lived in Succasunna, NJ before moving to White Township 15 years ago.
Surviving are her husband, Arles H. Varela; daughter, Renee Rodrigues; son, Richard Varela; grandchildren, Cristina, Alexandra, and Janelle Rodrigues, Damien and Andrew Varela; great-grandson, Mikey.
A Christian Wake Service will be held 1:30 PM, Saturday, November 5, 2016 at MacFadden Funeral Home, Belvidere, NJ. Interment will follow in the Belvidere Cemetery, Belvidere, NJ. Friends may call from 11:00 AM to the time of service in the funeral home.
Contributions may be made in Crimilda's memory to the Diabetes Foundation.
