Walter Joseph Cross, Jr., 87, of White Township, Belvidere, NJ, died suddenly, yet peacefully, at home on March 2, 2017. He was born in The Bronx, New York, on December 23, 1929. Walter was a Route Salesman and Supervisor for ITT Continental Baking Company for forty years. He enjoyed his retirement years at The Brookfield Community playing pool and bocce with friends and neighbors. Walter was also an avid golfer and NY Giants fan. Walter was devoted to his loving wife and family, married to Doris for 63 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his loving daughters, Peggy Bennett and her husband Dave, Susan Meehan and her husband Brian, and Mary Beth Pollard and her husband Bill, all of Blairstown, NJ; his loving grandchildren, David Bennett and his wife Jessica, Lindsay Steingall and her husband Rob, Erin Dwyer and her husband Patrick, Sean Meehan and his fiancé Amy Duncan, Meagan Pollard and her fiancé Mike Adamcyzk, Kyle Pollard, and Connor Meehan; great grandchildren, Paige, Zachary, Anna, Emma and Ryan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 11, 2017 at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, 327 Greenwich Street, Belvidere, NJ.
