Obituary of Robert K. Farmer

Robert "Bob" Kenneth Farmer, 88 yrs old, of White Twp., NJ passed away on May 18, 2025, at St Lukes Warren Hospital after a very brief illness.

Bob was born on July 3,1936 to Mary and Richard K. Farmer in Rahway, NJ. Bob met the love of his life, Judy Zimmermann, at a church youth group meeting as teenagers. They married on Christmas Day 1955 and shared 69 beautiful years together.  

Bob's greatest joy was his family.  He leaves behind his loving wife Judy Farmer, son Ken Farmer, daughter Donna Paradise & her husband Bryan, grandchildren Bob Farmer, Jayson Rogowski, Rhyanne Rogowski, Bryan Paradise & his wife Kayla, Nicole Carroll & her husband Shawn, great-grandchildren Braxton, Isaac and Rowan Carroll, his brother George Farmer and sister MaryKay Emanuele.

Bob was predeceased by his sisters Peg Snyder, Barbara Farmer and granddaughter Melissa Farmer.

Bob was a member of the Belvidere United Methodist Church and had served as a Trustee.

Bob served in the USAF as a Flight Engineer. Upon his discharge from the Air Force, he was hired on the Pennsylvania Railroad in NYC as a lineman, power director, finally retiring as Asst. Division Engineer from Amtrak. In Rahway he was the Committee Chairman of Boy Scout Troop 47, a member of the Masonic Temple Lafayette Lodge 27.  

As a mechanic he loved working on cars, many times having one in the garage. He was a huge Mets fan, an avid bowler, loved playing card games with his family and loved to read, especially westerns. After retirement he enjoyed golfing with his Brookfield buddies. 

Family and friends are invited to visit MacFadden Funeral Home on Friday, May 23 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, May 24 at MacFadden Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Belvidere Cemetery.
