Obituary of Grace Marie Libby

Grace Marie Libby, 88 of White Township, NJ, passed away peacefully during the night on Friday, June 13, 2025.

Grace was born on January 21, 1937 in Jersey City, NJ. Grace met her beloved husband, Edward, working in New York city and they were happily married for 61 years before losing him in 2021. They lived in Jersey City when they were first married and a few years later had two daughters and moved to South Plainfield, NJ into their first home together.

Grace worked as a secretary to the Director of the Technology Department at Union County College. After Grace and her husband both retired, they moved to White Township and met many friends. Grace loved going to the casino, playing bingo, playing bocce ball, bowling, going to dinner with the ladies, and traveling.

She had much compassion for her family and would do anything humanly possible to be there for them. She always had stories to share about long ago which, even though some were told over and over, were a pleasure to hear about. We will have those memories to keep in our hearts forever. Grace also believed that a shot (or two) of scotch each day kept her COVID free and living to the age she lived to.

We are grateful to have had her around as long as we have. She will be missed by her family and friends immensely.

Grace is predeceased by her beloved husband Edward, her father and mother, John and Aida Moliterno, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Anthony and Margaret Libby, her brother Vito, and brothers-in-law Louis Zweier and Henry Suffecool.

Grace is survived by two daughters, Gail Libby (Bruno Cupo), Lisa Nolan (husband Martin), grandsons Kyle and Ryan (wife Nairoby), granddaughters Erin (Byron) and Briana (husband Will), great-granddaughter Julia, great-grandson Nolan, grand dog Gabriel, great grand dog Savannah, sisters-in-law Gloria Zweier and Joan Suffecool, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews, extended family and many friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Friday June 27, 2025 at St. Patrick R.C. Church, 327 Greenwich Street, Belvidere, NJ  07823.
