Obituary of Gaetana (Gail) Tirabassi

Gaetana “Gail” Parzanese Tirabassi, 82, passed from this life unexpectedly but peacefully on Thursday, October 25, 2025.

Gail is survived by her children, Michael Tirabassi and his wife Rebecca; Matthew Tirabassi and his wife Liann; Mark Tirabassi; and Geoffrey Tirabassi and his wife Danielle. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Grace, Sophie, Mia, Geoffrey, Giuliana, Michael, Sawyer, Alex, Nate, and Isabella, as well as her brother Carl and his wife Doris. She was predeceased by her husband, Michael Tirabassi.

Born on July 26, 1943, and raised in Belleville, NJ, Gail married the love of her life, Mike Tirabassi, on August 13, 1967. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose kindness and warmth touched everyone she met.

Gail was the happiest when she was doting on her grandchildren. She loved the holidays, especially Christmas, and cherished making Christmas cookies with them while Mike helped with the struffoli.

 She enjoyed spending her free time crafting, sewing, and crocheting—always creating something beautiful with love for her family.

A dedicated educator, Gail inspired countless students during her years in the public school system and as a teacher in the Catholic CCD program. Her patience, compassion, and genuine care for her students left a lasting mark on all who knew her.

Calling/viewing hours will be held Tuesday, November 4, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Wednesday, November 5, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at MacFadden Funeral Home, Belvidere, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at St. Patrick R.C. Church, 227 Greenwich Street, Belvidere, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Belvidere, NJ.
