Obituary of Robert Burton Kroner

Robert B. Kroner, 96 of Belvidere, NJ, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025.

Born on September 18, 1929, in Newark, NJ, he was the son of the late Joseph Kroner, DDS and Sadie (nee Eisen) Kroner and brother of the late Arnold Kroner, DDS.

He was married to the late Barbara (nee Kubrick) Kroner.

Robert (Bob) raised his family in West Orange, NJ, where he lived until 2002. He practiced law in Newark, NJ, Orange, NJ and West Orange, NJ.

He attended Syracuse University and NYU Law School and graduated Harvard University (Class of 1952) Law School.

Bob moved to Sunrise, Florida and then Boynton Beach, Florida, where he lived until August 2020, when he returned to New Jersey to be with his family.

Bob loved to travel, particularly via cruise line, and enjoyed his trip to Australia and New Zealand more than any other adventure.

He was a quiet, generous man who loved and encouraged his daughter and granddaughter (Kimberly) in all their ambitions.

He will be sorely missed by those that helped him in his final years at Mira Vie (formerly Chelsea) in Belvidere, NJ and by his family and new friends that he enjoyed in the Belvidere, NJ area.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Katherine Kolibas, his son-in-law, Jeffrey Kolibas, and his granddaughter, Kimberly Kolibas.

He is also survived by his son, Robert Kroner, Jr., his daughter-in-law, Alicia (Dzmil) Kroner, and his granddaughter, Sara Kroner.

A private family service will be held at the Belvidere Cemetery, Belvidere, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the ASPCA, American Cancer Society, Syracuse University, NYU Law School, or Harvard University, all recipients of Bob’s generosity over the years.
