James “Jack” Armstrong, 81, of Tannersville, PA, passed away on November 24, 2025, at his home.

Jack was born on February 13, 1944, in Summit, New Jersey. He lived in Morristown, NJ for many years before moving to Tannersville 30 years later.

Jack was an inventory clerk for several supermarkets before he retired. He had bred German Sheperd dogs, known for their intelligence, loyalty, and versatility, that were used for the Seeing Eye of Morristown.

He was a long-time member of the Morristown Jaycees.

Jack was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Rose Ann McEvoy, who died in 2016.

Surviving is a great nephew, Ryan Heidt; brother and sister in laws, John and JoAnn Olsyn, Joseph McEvoy, Monica Smith, Andrew and Mary McEvoy, Paul McEvoy, Gerard and Sue McEvoy, Patrick and Paula McEvoy.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, December 12, 2025, at the MacFadden Funeral Home, 325 Hardwick Street, Belvidere, NJ. Interment will follow in the Summerfield Cemetery, White Township, NJ. Family and friends may call from 10:30 AM to the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in Jack’s memory to the Belvidere Ambulance Corps, 234 Paul Street, Belvidere, NJ  07823.
