I miss you, Pat. I am saddened that I will no longer see you every day, as in the past several months. Our time together grew into days during these last few weeks. I was determined to make your finals days comfortable, and for you to stay in your beautiful home. You made that very clear to me from when we first met almost 4 years ago. I enjoyed our conversations and admired you for your compassion and dedication to the poor, and sick. I will miss gardening with you and planting flower bulbs. You convinced me to nurture some houseplants that you gave to me, and they are striving. I guess that I am acquiring a green thumb after all! I wish that I met your husband, Andy. I had planned to be an artist, and I am sure that his instruction would have been invaluable. I know that you both are together again and at peace.
