I will always remember our Christmas Eve tradition of going over to our Memom’s and having shrimp and other seafood. Opening our stockings from her, and watching A Christmas Story. Eventually the tradition shifted to hosting at my parent’s house, but with the same food, movies and stockings. She always brightened up any event she was at. I will miss my Memom dearly every day, and cherish the memories my family and I had with her, and the fact we were so lucky to have known her.

I have so many fond memories of my Aunt, that I wanted to add some more. Today, I’ve been remembering so many fun times spent at family reunions, weekends spent in the pool, and school breaks with my cousins as kids. I loved being there. Memories to cherish for sure. Over the years, I’ve also enjoyed hearing about the fun times and laughs she shared with my mom, Wilma. They really had the best times together and then later included Tracy when neither could drive anymore. Their adventures were endless. Aunt Pat brought great joy to her family. Missing her very much, but knowing she is at peace.

I will miss my sister dearly, but I know she is at peace resting in the arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ. I have many fond memories of our life on the farm that I will forever cherish. Pat and I remained close over the years. Most recently, I remember all the fun and laughs we shared while shopping for bargains at different stores, and the many get togethers we had with family at Tracy’s home. I take great comfort knowing I will see her again and we will rejoice being together with all our loved ones.

I was with my family at the marriage of Chet and Pat at The Mountain Lake Casino. I remember how elegant Pat was in her Beautifulwedding dress that day..

You and Chet are finally reunited and I pray that you are both dancing in the heavenly kingdom of our lord.

So many wonderful memories of Aunt Pat over the years at her home in Belvidere and at her place just a short drive from my mom’s (Wilma’s) house. Always loved family picnics that Pat hosted and the craziness of all the cousins in the pool. So honored to share her name and to hear all the stories of the Kesslers. We will miss her terribly but know she’s in Heaven right now with her parents, sisters and brothers and, of course, I see her dancing with Uncle Chet. Love to all of you Tracy, Eric, Doug, Emily, Allie and Bryan. You made her so proud and she loved you all so much.

I’m holding onto so many memories of Pat, but I will especially treasure the family picnics she hosted and the way she always welcomed the Barber clan into her home with such effortless hospitality.

These last five years were a particular gift as she mustered the courage each week to battle her old computer just to join our group Zoom Bible study.

Through those moments, we grew together in faith, joy, and love—something I will always cherish.

May her memory be a blessing and a comfort to all who loved her.
