My thoughts and prayers are with you through this difficult time.
Words are not enough to say how truly sorry we are. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Moschella and Caren,
I am so truly sorry for your loss. Jimmy and I were friends in high school, and I have many fond memories of him. I am so sorry that we did not keep in touch through the years. The thought of him makes me smile as I remember what a character he was! That half smile he had... and the car accident from a spider on his shoulder.... and him with one eyebrow after it was shaved off at a party.
I am sure you will see many of Jimmy's traits as well as his disposition in baby James. May that precious child give you happiness, warmth and peace as you see that first smile, that first crawl, those first steps, and those first words! What a blessing he is.
My very best wishes for your peace and my deepest sympathy,
Heather Bimonte-Nelson & Matthew, Hailey and Brooke Nelson

Let's please be with each other for ever Jimmy would have wanted it that way and I know for certin he would do the same for me. I will never be the same person with out Jimmy in my life.
Dear Jimmy-
It has taken me a while to get to writing this email. I did get to meet both your wonderful wife Caren and your beautiful son. My thoughts and prayers are with them on a daily basis.
I am still in disbelief, that you are no longer with us, in the physical sense, but there are so many times that I think of you and all the fun times that we had. You have sent me strength from up above, (which feels so very selfish) but it happens each time that I hear a song or think of you, that gives me laughter through the tears.
So many songs, especially, "Just like a rainbow, you know you set me free" (depeche mode)..In speech class, at BCC, when you had to wear my jean jacket, because you were sweating so much, when you had to get up in front of the class..In high school, when you crashed your car, because of the spider on your shoulder, the eyeliner you had to wear for a month, because we shaved off your eyebrow, the weekly trips to the Grasshopper in the Bronx and so many more happy times.
Caren , Baby James, Mr. and Mrs. Moschella, Christine and family, I am so sorry for your tremendous loss.
Words cannot express the grief we feel in our hearts for you both and Caren. We are here for you dear friends and in our prayers always.
Dear Jimmy,
Sometimes life takes people in different directions...but I will always smile when I think of all the great memories I have of you. I remember how excited we were when we got our fake ID's, to go to Florida, for Spring Break, all the trips into the City to meet my brother at school, bowling on Thursdays, coming home to you throwing parties at my house...and so many more!
To Caren, Baby James, Mr. & Mrs. Moschella and Chris, I want you to know that we are all grieving with you, and are praying for all of you.
Please accept my most sincere sympathy on the passing of your son. I will remember your family in my prayers.
Jimmy,
There is so much that can be said but the most important thing is that we miss you very much. You were the kind of friend that most wished they had but rarely ever end up with. Through the years, you & your friends stayed close and grew together. Its that frienship that will help get everyone through this tragedy. You will continue to grow through James and the people who love you will continue to remind him of the wonderful father that he has. Caren is strong and her strength and love for you will continue to make her a wonderful mother to your beautiful son.
We love you and will miss you always,
Jenn and Paul Kokora
Dear Darlene and Jim,

Donna and Jimmy
Caren,
I cannot begin to imagine the loss you are suffering. Be strong for the baby and relish the memories you had with Jimmy so you can tell your son all about his dad. God bless you.
Mr. & Mrs. Moschella and Christine,
No parent should have to bury their child and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
I too graduated with Jimmy and recall many of the memories as those who have signed this guestbook before me do. He was always jovial and a ton of fun to hang around with. He will be missed by all, without question.

My sincere thoughts and prayers go out to the Family of fellow Blue Mt. Umpire Assoc. member James E Moschella Jr. I hope you find comfort at this very trying time knowing James has been called home and now is at peace with Our Heavenly Father. God Bless each of you in your time of sorrow as you are in my thoughts and prayers.
Dearest Caren & Moschella Family,
I wish you peace, wisdom and understanding during this difficult time. I had the honor of living with Jimmy for three years during his time in Vail, Colorado. "Moots" positively affected ever one whom he came into contact with, and my wife, Heather and I were no exceptions. We are blessed to have known you brother. Jimmy I miss you dearly, but I know your infectous smile, your deep laugh and your 'Jersey Boy" sense of humor will always be with me. Love always defeats sadness, eventually.
A cheery daily visit from Jimmy during my shift at the Brass Parrot for much of the 4 1/2 years I worked there. Jimmy always brought a good burst of realness through the door. Good solid man. My heart goes out to his family and loved ones...
rest well buddy.
My deepest sympathy goes out to your family. James was a great person and friend. He will truly be missed. My prayers are with all of you
To the entire Moschella family,
I worked with Jim for about six years and I was very saddened to hear about his passing. Jim spent numerous days at my home with my wife and children and we got to know him well. Jim and I also spent some time in Atlantic City and those times were very memorable for me. Though we had not spoken in some time, his passing has hit me really hard. I was shocked and surprised when I read his name in the obituries. Jim was a fun and caring, and always had a smile on his face whenever we were together. If there is antyhing I can do to help in the difficult time please feel free to contact me. Jim you will be missed by all.
Dearest Jimmy,
I love you sooooo much..words cannot explain how much I will miss you.....you are my husband, my best friend, my life!! I will do my best to be the best mother to our baby and I know from heaven you will help all of us to be strong!!! I WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER AND ALWAYS!!!
Love, Caren

We would like to thank all of our dear friends, relatives, and everyone we haven't seen in years for all of your love, concern and many expressions of sympathy. We are comforted by all of these messages. We would also like to thank our beautiful daughter, Christine, and "son" Michael who have truly been our salvation! They have opened their home to hundreds of people since our son Jimmy died on 6/10/06. We also want to talk about our precious "daughter" Caren, who is trying so hard to be strong. She has made our son so very happy for over five years (they were married on 4/30/04). Jimmy also loved Caren's dear parents and family very much. We also get so much comfort from our wonderful twin grandsons, Joey and Jimmy who loved their Uncle Jimmy so much! Our son was so loving, caring and warm-hearted. We never imagined that we would experience the death of our child. The pain is unbearable. We are looking forward to the birth of our new grandson, James Theodore, bringing everyone joy to lessen the pain of the death of his dear father. We will be having a memorial mass at St. Andrew's Church in Clifton when Caren is ready. Information will follow in another obituary in the papers and also on this website.
Thanks and love to all of you.
Caren,
Our deepest sympathies & prayers to you, The Moschella's and Wrezesniewski's. Jimmy's smile and generosity will always have a very special place in our heart. When we needed our friends support the most you both were there for us without asking any questions. Jimmy's friendship will never be forgotten. I know that Jimmy will always be an angel to you and baby James and his love will somehow guide you through this difficult time.
We love you,
Alexis Ed and Andrew Pisarczyk
Mr. & Mrs. Moschella, Chris, Caren and family. I am sooo sorry for the loss of Jimmy. We all grew up together and always had such great times. I was glad to see you all this weekend while I was home from Florida for the weekend! Chris - Thank you for letting me stop by for hugs! The twins are adorable, I think Jimmy was their age when we all met in School 2. Life is too short...but memories of Jimmy will last forever! Stay strong and embrace life. Jimmy will be watching and will help provide strength to all. My thoughts will be with you all everyday. Remember to look forward...life is past, present and future! Sweet Baby James will have a beautiful life.
With Deepest Sympathy, Traci Zim
Dearest Jimmy,
You were so much more than a brother-in-law to me. You were the brother I never had, my friend, my confidant. The love and friendship you and my sister shared was so beautiful and very rare in these times and I thank you for that. While not long enough, you gave Caren five great years and a lifetime of memories. You also left the greatest gift of all in Baby James. He will be joining us today and I cannot wait to "see" you again in him. Please watch over Caren today and give her the strength to get through this delivery and to be a good mother to your baby. I know how excited you were to become a father and we will share stories and memories and make sure he knows all about his daddy. We will tell him how you always ended your telephone conversations with an "I love you." We will make sure he's a Yankee/Rangers/Giants fan. Jimmy and Joey will teach him to swim and play ball. Caren and I will teach him to snowboard. His many "uncles" will teach him to fish. Your wonderful family and friends will help guide him through this world.
I love you and miss you so very much. Rest well brother.
Dear Caren, Words cannot even describe the sorrow we feel for you. Please know how much we care and you are in our thoughts and prayers daily. Please know Jimmy is with you and will help you through. Your new baby James is going to give you hope and strength. Take it day by day. Don't look any further than today. Little by little you will start to smile again. That baby will give you joy, and remember when James is smiling at you it will be Jimmy smiling too. Please hang on to all the memories and know how much Jimmy loves you and baby James. He will always be with you both.God bless you!
Dear Caren, The Wrzesniewski, and the Moschella Families,

Dear Family,
We are, as all of you are, devastated at the loss of our "Little Jimmy". There are no words to express or to take away the pain and sorrow we all feel. All we can do is remember all the kind thoughtful things he has done for family and friends. Although distance kept us apart he kept his Grandma close to heart with his long, loving, thoughtful phone conversations. He will be dearly missed..
Aunt Joyce and Grandma
Dear Caren and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. May Jimmy's spirit be with you, your son and your family always.
Love,
Kristi & Tom
ILl never forget Jimmy hanging out at the ballfields when we played softball at Surgent- we used to pass notes to eachother and Mrs. Moschella would get mad because I was an "older" woman - we were like 10! Im so sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with you -
Caren, Mr. and Mrs. Moschella, and Christine--
I am so sorry for your loss. Growing up on Doherty Drive and going to school with Jimmy, I have so many wonderful memories of him. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Dear Moschella Family and Caren,
I have been pondering on what to say to you all since this tragedy happend. There is simply no words to express how sorrow I feel for your loss. As you know, my family too suffered the loss of my brother, that said, it hurts even more because I know how unbearable the pain is for you and all that words could not begin to describe. I will not tell you that time heals all the pain...but I will tell you that you will live again. You have no choice you must go on. You will see Jimmy in your beautiful newphew, son, uncle and grandson, that will comfort you and help you througout your lives. Try to be strong and take comfort in one another, through your wonderful family and many great friends. I pray for all of you to find peace and strength. Take joy in the love of your beautiful baby James! With love and condolences to you all. Patti Greco
Dear Jimmy,
I have been thinking long and hard what to write you, at first I had no clue and was in such disbelieve than as I read the postings I felt so intimidated because your friends and family were so eloquent in their thoughts and emotions.
I know you are watching and listening from your new position in the world. We have grown to really LOVE butterflies and appreciate them more than you can imagine. I know you have felt all of our many emotions and we thank you for all of the memories you have given us, we will now cherish them forever as our reminder and memory of you. We have learned so many things about each other since your passing. I'm sure you knew most of this already but you have the greatest group of friends one could imagine, a wonderful family, a loving and caring sister, the greatest parent(s) in the world and of course Caren who is so STRONG and COURAGOUS. This brings me to Baby James who I saw a few days ago at the hospital, he is very handsome, a great combination of you and Caren (he looked great in the Met uniform we bought him) just kidding! We will love him and look out for him. His many extended Uncles and Aunts have already been hard at work to make sure he is comfortable and that Caren has what she needs to get a good start.
Jimmy we miss you but I know you already know this, I wish you did not have to leave as early as you did but I know somewhere their is a reason but I sure don't understand it yet.
Love,
Michael

Dear mr. & Mrs. Moschella, Christine, Caren and family,
Words cannot express how saddened I am for your loss. Just a few weeks ago, Jimmy was emailing how lucky he felt as he was about to start his new family and how lucky he was to have his parents and sister/brother in law as the perfect examples of how to be a great parent. Jimmy was a great friend through all these years and always put a smile on my face. I am lucky to have had him as a friend and I will never forget him. I hope you find some comfort in your memories of him. Congratulations on the birth of James Theodore. I know he will love all the stories everyone will share with him of his wonderful father. My thoughts are with you all....
love, Sue(Hecht)Tuckman
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Moschella, Christine, Caren and Baby James,
I am so deeply sorry and saddened for the loss of your son, your brother, your husband, your daddy...and personally, for the loss of a truly special person and friend. I feel blessed to have gotten back in touch with Jimmy just a couple months ago and to have heard the joy in his voice when he talked about his "new" family (both Caren and the baby to be) and the love of his "old" family as he updated me on what everyone was up to. Jimmy was a special part of my life during both the early softball years that he patiently tolerated and the high school years...that he patiently tolerated!! Jimmy had a heart of gold and the loyalty of friendship that is so rarely found. His passing is a tremendous loss to all that knew him and all that never had the chance.
I heard a song the other day that Jimmy used to play in his car and sing along to many years ago, and one line in particular stands out - "it may be raining, but there's a rainbow above you..." - that rainbow will forever be your Jimmy.
My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time, and in all those difficult times to come. May God bless you all.
I am deeply sorry for you loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you every day.
Dear Darlene and Family ,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. I wish I could say something that will help ease some of your pain. I heard of your tragedy the other day when your friend Jeannine came to my shop . We used to work together . I felt overwhelmed with sorrow. I just want you to know my thoughts and prayers are with you . I hope you'll find some comfort and joy with your new grandson , and Caryn as well. sincerely , Kassy
Darlene -Jim and family Our hearts -our prayers- and our everyday thoughts are with you always
Love the Kelly family
Dear Mr & Mrs. Moschella, Caren, Chris & Family,
Wehn I think about Jimmy, I remember my childhood. I remember Doherty Drive and all of the fun times we had as kids, playing in the pool or the gargae or the basement. I remember Jimmy always begging my mom to let us go swimming (when she did not really think that it was quite warm enough) - yet, she always relented and allowed us to swim. I recently came across a picture of Jimmy. We had dressed him up as girl in my peasant skirt and mom's earrings. Jimmy was always a good sport. The picture brought me back 20+ years, and it also made me laugh. That is the Jimmy that I remember and that is the Jimmy that I will miss. I am so terribly sorry for your loss and for everyone's loss.
Love always, Jill, Mark & Nicholas Baraniak
Dear Darlene, Jim, Chris, Michael, Caren and Baby James,
When your family moved in on Doherty Drive, that was one of my happiest days. We seemed to connect right away. Your family became my family. So your hurt is my hurt. When you see a very bright shinning star, that will be our Jimmy looking down from heaven. I truly wish I could bring him back to you. He was very special to all of us. To know him, was to love him. Please rest assure, he will always be with you. We love each and everyone of you.
Love Always,
Lorraine and Bob
Dear Caren, Darlene & Jim, Christine & Michael & kids:
We love you all so very much, and our hearts and prayers go out to you during this difficult time.
We would like to share a few special memories of Jimmy.....
- We loved his warm friendly smile and how he had a great sense of humor.
- He always greeted us with a big hug and a kiss, and made us feel loved
- Jimmy would show an active interest in what was going on in our lives and we shared many a warm and happy conversation at the famous annual family picnics
----------------------------------
We will miss Jimmy tremendously, and promise to support and love all of you (especially baby James)forever!
Love Always,
Joe and Laurie

Dearest Jim, Darlene, Caren, Christine, Michael and family.
Words alone cannot ease your pain, but hopefully can bring you some solace. The loss of you beautiful son is just so unimaginable. Our love and prayers are with you and baby James. May God Bless. Love, Marie and family
My heart goes out to the Moschella and Wrezesniewski family. I hope you all find the strength to get through this difficult time. Jimmy will forever be in our hearts and mind. I love you Caren.
DearCarin, Although we have never met, I feel like I know you through all the many conversations Jim and I had about his life. He loved you so very much and always said you were his best friend. He was extremely excited about the baby and how his life was about to change. He was my very bestest friend at work and although we joked around a lot, we also had some serious discussions about life, love and kids. He adored not only you, but his parents, your parents and siblings and his many friends. I remember one day I told him that I knew how much he loved you and his family, but he was about to experience the joy of parental love, which was more powerful than any other love. Do you know what he said to me? "No way, I could never love anyone more than my parents and wife" I regret that he is not here for me to say "I told you so", but I know you have enough love in your heart for Little Jimmy for both of you. Please accept my deepest sympathy in this time of great loss, and remember that I will forever keep you in my prayers because it was a priviledge to know Jim, who always spoke of his great love for you and his baby. Forever,
Our thoughts & prayers are with you all during this sad time. God bless you & Jimmy's new little son & wife. We love all of you very much. If we can be of any help please don't hesitate to call us.
Love, Cindy & David Taylor
Dear Darlene,Jim,Caren,Chris,Michael,Jimmy,Joey and Baby James. It has been over two weeks and we are still having difficulty expressing our feelings of sorrow to all of you. There are no words to help ease the pain for the loss of your beloved Jimmy, but you have to know the love and support of all your friends and family will be with you forever. The outpouring of love from all who have visited you, called you on the phone, and sent you emails shows the love we have for you and Jimmy. Some of our memories are of course Little League where we all met for the first time, Thomas and Jimmy's friendship in high school, their going to the prom together, the automobile accident at Clifton and Colfax Avenues(we rushed over to the scene thinking the worse)only to see Jimmy with Thomas running behind him telling us they were okay--that big smile on his face. Most of all I remember the stories of the parties at our house and how we found out about them later and Jimmy would give me his look and smile. He would know without saying a word that I could never be mad at him. He had this special place in my heart and I know he could never be in trouble with me no matter what. We love you, Jimmy, and you will always be in our thoughts, our prayers, and in our hearts every day. Our memories of Little League, high school times, your Colorado stay and your married life with Caren will always bring smiles to our faces, but not as big as the smile you have left us to remember you by.
Love Diane and Tony Cioce
Dear Mr. and Mrs. Moschella, Chris, Caren, and Baby James,
We have been thinking about you all and praying for you since we heard the heartbreaking news. We are so sorry and can't even begin to imagine what you are going through. Jimmy lives on in Baby James, and he will continue to bring you all joy and hope. It has been so long since I last saw Jimmy. When I think of him, I picture the "little boy" down the street. I especially remember when you first moved to the neighborhood, and Jimmy and Chris came over for the first time to meet Tom and me. They laughed hysterically at our dog Sherry who jumped all over licking everyones face who dared to sit on the floor. We had a wonderful neighborhood to grow up in, and Jimmy will always be a part of those memories for me. We will keep you all in our hearts and prayers.
Love, Melissa (Moran), Todd, Zachary and Cameron Tovin
Caren, and the Moschella Family,
Putting into words what I am feeling about the loss of Jimmy is difficult. I know from what I have seen the past 20 years of friendship with Christine, he was truely apart of a great family. He had love and support from encuraging parents, and sister. He will be deeply missed.
"It is not length of life, but depth of life."
Emerson, Ralph Waldo (1803-1882)
Like wise, all of us go through difficult days and we need others in those times. The lesson to learn is that God wants friends, who can be a strength and resource of the Holy Spirit to help others in time of their need. The words that people share and the things that they do can and will be used by the Holy Spirit to get your family through a very dark time in your life.
Deepest sympathy,
Love,

My deepest condolences to Caren and the whole Moschella family. I was in total shock when I heard the devastating news. Although, I have not seen Jimmy in a couple of years, Jimmy will truly be missed by everyone.

It is wonderful when you have cousins that you consider to be your brother and sister. With that also comes the pain of loss of not just a cousin, but a brother. Jimmy and Christine are not only my cousins. They are my brother and sister. Aunt Darlene and Uncle Jim are not only my Aunt and Uncle, but my mother and father. This is the reason that every time that I have sat down to write this; I have been unable to finish. The loss of Jimmy kills me. Seeing the pain in Aunt Dar, Uncle Jim, and Christine brings tears to my eyes just to think about it. Even though our distance was great, there was a special bond with Jimmy that remained strong since our childhood days. Even though I would only get to see Jimmy a couple times a year over the last 9 years, I could always count on him to bust my chops and tell me how fat or bald I was getting. I will miss the fun that the two of us had in busting on each other. I will miss Jimmy's laid back and carefree personality. It seemed that nothing could get Jimmy upset. He was always caring and loving to everyone. What a good example of how to treat others! Jimmy-I will miss you terribly, but will always cherish wonderful memories of you. I have always bragged about the 4 Jimmy's in our family. I will continue to brag about you and now precious Jimmy #5. I'm sure he will grow to be as wonderful as you. Jimmy-I will miss you terribly, but look forward to the next time we meet when I know for sure that the first thing you will do is bust my chops. Aunt Dar, Uncle Jim, and Christine-I love you all more than I can explain and I think of you every single day. Caren-my heart goes out to you. Be strong as Jimmy is holding your hand every day.
Love,
Jimmy Lehman

Dear Family,
We are, as all of you are, devastated at the loss of our "Little Jimmy". There are no words to express or to take away the pain and sorrow we all feel. All we can do is remember all the kind thoughtful things he has done for family and friends. Although distance kept us apart he kept his Grandma close to heart with his long, loving, thoughtful phone conversations. He will be dearly missed..
Aunt Joyce and Grandma
Caren,
Our deepest sympathies & prayers to you, The Moschella's and Wrezesniewski's.
