Richard J. Kelley, 87, of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem, PA. Born on January 8, 1926, in Scranton, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Lawless Kelley. Mr. Kelley served in the US Navy during WWII and the Korean War. Dick had worked for Hoffmann-LaRoche in the Vitamin C production department before retiring. Previously he worked as a foreman for Celanese Georgia Pacific. Mr. Kelley was a parishioner of St. Patrick R.C. Church, Belvidere, NJ. Richard was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary for forty years. Also he was a member of the American Legion, Post 131 and the V.F.W. Post 5193, both in Belvidere, NJ. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, James and Edward Kelley. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Jean F. Widenor Kelley; a daughter, Marie Kelley-Dinger and her husband Tom of Waldorf, MD; a son, Robert Kelley and his wife Debra of Bangor, PA; two grandsons, Kyle and Christopher Kelley; a great-grandson, Liam Kelley; a brother, Eugene Kelley and his wife Lorraine of Punta Gorda, FL; several nephews and nieces.
