Obituary of Lawrence J. Iskra

Lawrence J. Iskra, 76, of Belvidere, NJ passed away Monday, September 4, 2023 at the Arden Courts of Old Orchard, Easton. PA.

Born January 4, 1947 in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late John J. Iskra and Anna E. Paul.

Larry had served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He had served two tours in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart Medal.

Larry was a chemical operator for Hoffman-LaRoche for many years before retiring.

He was a parishioner of St. Patrick R.C. Church, Belvidere and a member of the American Legion, Post 131, Belvidere, NJ.

In addition to his parents, Lawrence was predeceased by his brother Thomas Iskra.

Surviving are four sons, Kurt, Kevin, Douglas, and Phillip; two sisters, Susan Hendershot and Lois Nyman; two brothers, David DeVore and Dale DeVore; several nephews and nieces.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, September 8, 2023 at St. Patrick R.C. Church, 327 Greenwich Street, Belvidere, NJ.  Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Belvidere, NJ.

Arrangements are under the direction of MacFadden Funeral Home, Belvidere, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lawrence’s memory to St. Patrick R.C. Church or Alzheimer’s Association NJ, 23 Vreeland Rd. #105, Florham Park, NJ 07932.
