John A. Tims, 70, of White Township, NJ, passed away at his home on Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Born in Newton, NJ on December 23, 1941, he was the son of the late Howard and Maude High Tims. Mr. Tims was an equipment operator for the Operating Engineers' Local #825, Springfield, NJ for 40 years before retiring. John was an avid fisherman and hunter. He also enjoyed gardening. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, William Dickerson. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Helen LeBar Tims; children, Victoria Mullikin, Marvin Lance, David Lance, and Christine Abbott; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a niece. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in his memory to the Belvidere Ambulance Corps, P.O.
