Nicholas R. Montanino died suddenly at St. Luke's Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg on Monday, April 30, 2012. He was 75. Born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Christopher and Adeline (Pancaldo) Montanino on October 11, 1936, he was a resident of White Township since 1999, and was previously a resident of Iselin in Woodbridge Twp. for over 27 years. After retiring from the Format Printing Company in Totowa, NJ, Mr. Montanino was an independent tile contractor for many years. He was a lover of nature and animals, and an avid gardner. He enjoyed carpentry and working in his workshop. He was predeceased by his daughter Denise Montanino in 1970. Mr. Montanino is survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Roberta Naroskie; his daughter Janine Moore and her husband Daniel of West Orange; his sister Annamarie Sockolof of Tewksbury Twp.; two grandchildren Kristen and Scott Moore, and several nieces and nephews.
