Lorraine M. Matthews, 91, of White Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 22, 2012 at her home. Born on December 11, 1920 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, she was the daughter of the late Ted and Mabel Everson Martin. Mrs. Matthews was a secretary for Baker Chemical Company, Phillipsburg for over 32 years before retiring. Lorraine was a member of the Harmony Presbyterian Church. She was a past president of the former Belvidere Soroptomist Club. Lorraine was the wife of the late Thomas A. (George) Matthews who died November 17, 2007. She was also predeceased by her twin sister, Elaine Rounsaville; a brother, Laverne Martin, and a sister, Mabel Ann Ramsland. Surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice, 99 Sparta Ave., Newton, NJ 07860 or the Belvidere Ambulance Corps, P.O. Box 128, Belvidere, NJ 07823.
