Doris E. Poyer, 82, a resident of Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield Township, NJ, formerly of Mt. Lake, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2011 at the nursing home. Born on December 19, 1928, in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Lester Hoffman and Varila DeVore. Doris was a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Doris was predeceased by her husband Claude R. Poyer and her son, Michael L. Poyer. Surviving are two daughters, Mary Conover of Belvidere, NJ and Betsy Fox of Nazareth, PA; two sons, Richard Poyer of Stroudsburg, PA and Timothy Poyer of White Twp., NJ; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
