Erma L. Kern, 93, of Nazareth, PA, formerly of Homosassa, FL and White Twp., NJ passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth, PA. Born on October 23, 1919 in Buttzville, White Twp., NJ, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ruth Smith Hoyt. Mrs. Kern was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Florida, Homosassa, FL and the Warren Chapter # 128, Belvidere, NJ. Mrs. Kern was an active member of the United Methodist Church of Homosassa where she had been involved with the bereavement group, choir and meals on wheels. As a member of the Buttzville United Methodist, she was active with the choir. Erma was predeceased by her husband, Claude Kern, who died in October 1983, and her brothers, Edward, Earl and Russell Hoyt. Surviving are two sons, Larry Kern and his wife Bonnie, and Ronald Kern and his wife Janice; a daughter, Nancy Rice and her husband Karl; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
