Dorothy Elizabeth "Dottie" Rush, 83 of White Township, NJ, formerly of Phillipsburg, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at the Care Center of Brakeley Park, Lopatcong Township, NJ. Born on July 3, 1927 in Belvidere, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Raymond F. and May A. VanHorn Hess. Mrs. Rush was a member of the Buttzville United Methodist Church and was an active choir member. Dottie was predeceased by her husband Carl M. Rush who died on October 3, 2009 and a brother, Raymond M. Hess who died on October 31, 2010. Surviving are two sons, Gary and his wife Susan of Easton, PA, Gregory and his wife Jane of Phillipsburg, NJ; two grandsons, Carl and Edward; a granddaughter, Kimberly; a great-granddaughter, Morgan; a sister, Mary Smith of White Township, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in her memory to the Buttzville United Methodist Church, 2 Green Pond Road, Belvidere, NJ 07823.
