Obituary of Edward C. Butler

Edward C. Butler, 85, of the Country View section of White Township, Belvidere, NJ, formerly of Holland Township, NJ, passed away Monday, September 19, 2011 at his home. Born in Bethlehem, PA on March 12, 1926, he was the son of the late Peter and Amy Jane Yelles Butler. Mr. Butler was electrician and lineman for the International Electrical Brotherhood Workers Union for over 65 years. He had served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a radioman. Mr. Butler was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Catherine Wilson Butler, who died on January 3, 2011. Surviving are a son, Rev. David E. Butler; a daughter, Peggy Niece; three grandchildren, Kassie Joho, Wendy Richards, and Molly Butler Bailey; four great-grandchildren, Fiona, Declan, Seamus and Finegan. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in his memory to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250/ DAV.org .
