Obituary of Marsha M. Burdge

Marsha M. (Hartzog) Burdge, 62, of E. Stroudsburg, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at the VNA Hospice of Monroe County with her loving family at her side. Born on October 13, 1949 in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Hartzog and Marie Hartzell Wolfe, and step-daughter of the late George Wolfe. Marsha was a Senior Title Officer for Valley National Title Company, Paramus, NJ. Marsha enjoyed her trips to Cape May, NJ, her many pets; Abby, Oreo, Max, and Kelsey. She especially enjoyed and loved her grandsons. Marsha was predeceased by her husband, John H. Burdge, Jr. who died on May 7, 1997. Surviving are her children, Tara L. Bowser and her husband Laurence of Aptos, CA, Kelli S. Burdge of E. Stroudsburg, PA, Kristina M. Denny and her husband Edward of Saylorsburg, PA, and John H. Burdge III and his wife Wendy of Phillipsburg, NJ; five grandsons, Ryan and Kevin Counterman, Domenico DeGirolamo, Joey Denny and R.J. Bowser; three brothers, Kevin Wolfe and his wife Christine, Thomas Hartzog and his wife Lois and Tommy Hartzog and his wife Denise; her longtime companion, Vincent Counterman. By request of Marsha and her daughters, in lieu of flowers, contributions are to be made in her memory to the VNA Hospice of Monroe County, 502 Independence Road, E. Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
