Albert A. Chabala, 84, passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at the Brakeley Care Center, Lopatcong Township, NJ after a short illness. Born in Wilkes Barre PA to the late Andrew and Mary (Tirpack) Chabala on October 22, 1928, he was a longtime resident of Belvidere. Mr. Chabala was a parishioner of St.Patrick's R. C. Church in Belvidere, a member of the American Legion Post 131 of Belvidere, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Chabala served in the United States Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He was a shipping supervisor for Hoffman-LaRoche in Belvidere for many years. Mr. Chabala was predeceased by a brother Andrew, who died in 2009. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, the former Theresa Perkowski; a daughter, Sheryl Sherri Durholz and her husband James; a grandson, Aaron; brother and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews. All will sadly miss him. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in his memory to St. Patrick's R. C. Church.
