Condolences
Chris showed strong leadership as a principal of the Wantage Elementary School in New Jersey. I taught 4th grade and appreciated his support and kindness.
He cared about all the faculty, staff, and students.
Heartfelt thoughts go out to you at this time.

I worked with Chris teaching third grade at the Wantage Elementary School. Being the perfect principal, he was there if you needed him but was otherwise encouraging and let you be the best teacher you could be. It is with great sadness for me to hear of his passing. May your wonderful memories bring you much needed love and support at this time.
With much sympathy,
Carolyn Pomeroy
I was a student of Mr. Yeager when he was at Liberty Township. I’ll always remember him standing on the hill spinning the whistle around and back during recess. I always thought a lot of him then, but even more when we reconnected a few years ago when he watched over us in the triathlon swim with water rescues during the first and following events at Mountain Lake. We spoke recently at the Mountain Lake firehouse, where he proudly displayed his beautiful boat, about another former student he wanted to help and it was then I realized your never a former student of Mr. Yeager. I always looked for him with Shriners at the Pen Argyl parade, as soon as he saw me I always got an extra smile and heartfelt wave of recognition. I’m just so shocked and saddened by it all, I can only imagine how you all are feeling. My deepest sympathies and condolences to you all, he will truly be missed by so many.
Yeager Family,
Eric and I had the privilege of knowing Chris though his firefighting and teaching at Liberty School.
Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time,
Eric and Karen Rudd

My memories of Chris go back to 70's at the SS as well as on the river itself. Trips to Watkins Glen for Formula 1 racing. Fortunately this past spring we were able to reminisce at Tipton's. I will never forget you my old friend.
I came into Christopher's life as he was preparing to say his last goodbye to his mother at the nursing home where she was my patient.
I believe the Lord had our paths cross at that specific time for a reason.
The few conversations we had, after his mother's passing, showed me that he had a deep love for his son Matthew and that he had some concerns that needed to be addressed, that only answered prayer could solve. I believe the Lord put me in his life for only this season.
Christopher, I believe, saw his son give his life to the Lord Jesus Christ during my time of advisement. I believe this was the answer to his prayers for his son.
Christopher was a man of faith, and I am honored to have been chosen by the Lord to have blessed him. I know that he is now in the care of his heavenly father, and all is well. Praise the Lord!
I have known and befriended Chris Yeager for most of my adult life. From our forays at the SS DIANE, to the YR Club in Easton, Chris was always a bright light in everyone’s day. The world has truly lost a magnificent human being this day.
My heart goes out to you Sue, my Love Kimbo McDonald

My husband, John, and I knew Chris from RiverBend Motorcoach Resort. He was such a kind, helpful neighbor, always thinking of what he could do to help another. If you had a need, Chris tried to fulfill it. Chris will be greatly missed. He made a big difference in this world.
It is with deep sadness to hear about Chris. I worked with him at Wantage School in Sussex County NJ as a fourth grade teacher. He encouraged all the teachers and students to do their best. He was a talented and wonderful principal. God Bless his family at this difficult time. Joanne Kovalsky
On behalf of my husband, Scott and myself, I want to send our deepest & heartfelt sympathies to his wife and family.
Chris was always so very nice and such a fun loving person. Several times during the week I’d be outside or walking near my home and he would always toot the horn and wave as he traveled back across the bridge.
Chris was so very friendly and will be missed by so very many, myself included.
A dear friend of mine and will Greatly missed RIP
My deepest sympathy to the family, Chris was one of a kind always there when help was needed
