Obituary of Charles W. Mikulewicz

Charles (Chuck) Mikulewicz, 93, of White Twp., NJ passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 with his entire family by his side.

Chuck was born in Newark, NJ to the late Charles Mikulewicz and Anna (Gallovich). He grew up in Newark, NJ and attended Southside High School. Before graduating, he enlisted in the National Guard at the age of 17, serving for 10 years.

Chuck met the love of his life, Caroline Ferreira in 1947. They raised four children in Irvington and Denville NJ. He was an Irvington Little League baseball coach for his son Chuck for many years. He worked as a delivery driver for Yerg, Inc. delivering accounting supplies in NYC, retiring after 40+ years.

Chuck truly enjoyed baseball and hockey. He was a diehard NY Yankees fan and loved the NJ Devils. He also had a love for bowling, for the past 10 years he bowled in the Brookfield Bandits league at Bel Pike Lanes. January of last year, at the age of 92, he rolled a remarkable 221 game delivering 5 strikes and 5 spares. But his greatest joy was his grandchildren, never missing a sporting event, dance recital or celebration.

Chuck is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Caroline; his son Chuck Mikulewicz and his wife Patty; daughters Cheryl Diedolf and her husband Mark, Camille Decker and her husband Wayne, and Cathryn Lagerman and her partner Rich; and his six grandchildren, TJ Lagerman, Forrest Diedolf, Tracey Mikulewicz, Everett Diedolf, Dana Decker and Jarrett Decker.

Family and friends may call from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM Friday, February 23, 2024 at MacFadden Funeral Home, Belvidere NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM at St. Patrick R.C. Church, 327 Greenwich Street, Belvidere, NJ.
