Radia V. Elder, 92, of the Brookfield Glen section of White Township, Belvidere, NJ passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, August 20, 2024.

Born on August 18, 1932, in Fair Lawn, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Orie and Henrietta Boonstra Vieldhouse. Radia had lived in in Glen Ridge, NJ before moving to Belvidere 19 years ago.

Radia was an administrative secretary at the Mountainside Hospital, Montclair, NJ for over 20 years before retiring in 1995. She was a 1949 graduate of the Eastern Christian Academy, North Haledon, NJ.

She was a member of the Maplewood Bible Chapel.

In addition to her parents, Radia was predeceased by her husband William B. Elder, who died in 2020.

Surviving are her children, John Elder and his wife Cynthia Free of Knoxville, TN, Bill Elder of Hackettstown, NJ, Jerry Elder of Quakertown, PA, and Sharon Elder of Belvidere, NJ; grandchildren, Bill Elder, Rea Campbell, Paige Elder, Nathan Elder, and Rachael Elder; great-grandchildren, Emmett Campbell and Silas Campbell; a brother, James Vieldhouse and his wife Pricilla of Oakland, NJ.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday September 14, 2024 at Maplewood Bible Chapel, 127 Burnet Avenue, Maplewood, NJ  07040.
