Obituary of Carl Edwin Brandt
It is with great sadness that the family of Carl Edwin Brandt announces his passing at home, ending his battle with Parkinson on Wednesday November 13, 2024.
Carl (Nipper) is the son of the late D. Dale and Helen (Murphy) Brandt. Born December 2, 1932, in Mount Union, PA.
He attended Belvidere High School and enlisted in the US Army and served his country in the Korean War. He received an Honorable discharge as a Corporal on February 1954.
Employed by Suburban Propane Company for 40 years in Belvidere and Lafayette NJ.
He was a lifetime member of the Belvidere American Legion, Post 131.
He is survived by his devoted and caring wife Alice (Schubel) Brandt, celebrating their 70th Anniversary on August 27, 2024. He is also survived by his loving children, three sons, David (Karen), Michael (Lynn), and Thomas (Barbara Jean). Grandpa was blessed with five grandchildren, four granddaughters, Adrienne (Mark), Lizzy, Abbey, Margo (Robert) and one grandson, Brandon. Three great grandsons, Everett, Grant, and Jameson.
Carl was the last of eight siblings. He was predeceased by a sister Marge and brothers Richard, Leo, Gene, Robert, Max, Charles (Skip), and Vernon (Giggi).
Funeral Service with an American Legion Service and Military Honors will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, December 13, 2024 at the MacFadden Funeal Home, where family and friends can share their happy memories. Calling hours will be held from 10:00 AM to the time of services.
