Obituary of Blendia R. Nawrocki

Blendia Ruth Nawrocki (Rawlins), 90, of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on November 27, 2024 with loved ones by her side.

She was born in Macon, Georgia in 1934 to the late Nickelson and Laura (Strickland) Rawlins. Blendia was married to Don in May 1962. She was a business owner of her beauty salon and an active member and past president of the Hunterdon Warren County Hairdresser Association. Her hobbies included bowling, quilting, NASCAR, fishing, exploring family genealogy, tropical fishkeeping, and she was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She also enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the family cabin in upstate New York. She taught many of her children and grandchildren to sew, bake and garden. Blendia will be missed by many and her spirit will remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

Blendia is survived by her loving husband Don of 62 years, children Dana (Barbara) Wright, Ken (Dawn) Nawrocki, daughter-in-law Chereen Nawrocki;  grandchildren Lauren Wright, Samantha Aubrey, Mardi (Jamey) Davis, Thomas (Abigail) Wright, Erin (Brian) Schoeneberger, Ashlie (Andrew) Csaba, Brett (Rikki) Nawrocki; thirteen great grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. 

The family is especially grateful for the nursing care provided by granddaughter Erin (Brian) and great-grandchildren Gavin and Alexis Schoeneberger over the past several years. 

Blendia was preceded in death by her first husband, John Wright; her sons Randy Wright, Lorey (Kim) Wright, Patrick Nawrocki; her grandchildren John Michael Wright and Chereen April  Nawrocki; parents Nickelson and Laura Rawlins; siblings Barbara Jackson, Nicky Rawlins and Roy Rawlins.

Funeral Services to be held 11:00 AM Friday, December 6, 2024, at MacFadden Funeral Home 325 Hardwick St, Belvidere NJ. Friends may call from 10:00 AM to the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Belvidere Cemetery.
