Obituary of William A. Fox
It is with great sadness that the family of William “Bill” A. Fox, announces his passing, on Monday December 16, 2024, at St. Luke's Hospital Anderson Campus, Easton, PA.
Bill is the son of the late Clyde and Carrie (Wildrick) Fox. Born January 13, 1939.
He attended Washington High School and went into the National Guard at the age of 17. He worked as a supervisor for American National Can for over 50 years. He enjoyed all wildlife, especially going to Minsi Lake to watch the Bald Eagles, Purple Martins and feeding the ducks. Bill was known for his remarkable stubbornness, a trait that often defined his character. However, those who had the privilege of knowing him understood that this stubbornness was accompanied by an even greater capacity for kindness and love. He stood firm in his beliefs and values, yet he was always ready to extend a helping hand and offer support to those in need. Bill's unwavering spirit and generous heart left a lasting impact on everyone he encountered. He will be remembered not only for his tenacity but also for the warmth and compassion he shared with family and friends. May his memory live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
Bill was a devoted father and PopPop that leaves behind his son William Fox and his wife Teresa of Bangor, daughters Joanie Stofanak and her fiancé Doug of Annandale, NJ, Carrie Miller and her husband Tyler of Upper Mount Bethel, Kimberly Jennings and her husband Jim of Bangor. Grandchildren: Britney Gardner, Christopher Stofanak, Julia Stofanak, Jesse Rocco Jr, Joey Rocco, Levi Miller, Michelle Nechetsky, Jessica Taucci, William Fox, Rilynn Fox, Cory Jennings and Owen Jennings. Great-Grandchild Arlo Nechetsky. Siblings: Clair Fox, Carolyn Albanese, Bonnie Bastedo, Jacquelyn Lindaberry & Jill Ostenski. Bill is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his daughter Melissa Niceforo, great-granddaughter Lennon Nechetsky, and sister Cora Fetherman.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 20th, 2024 at Belvidere United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Belvidere Cemetery.
