Helen C. Buckenmyer, 94, of Mt. Lake, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2014. Born in Easton, PA on February 26, 1920, she was the daughter of the late E. Hart Chidsey and Lila Kline. Helen along with her late husband Henry had owned and operated the Mt. Lake Bathing Beach and Beach Bar. She was an avid bridge player and loved animals, especially dogs. Helen would be remembered as a kind, loving, and fair person. Helen was a member of the Mt. Lake Fire Company Auxiliary and the Warren County Tavern Association, where she had been instrumental in establishing the Welhofer Scholarship Fund. In addition to her husband Henry B. Buckenmyer, she was predeceased by a sister, Nanette Kirn and a brother, Jack Chidsey. Surviving are her three children, Henry L. "Skip" Buckenmyer and his wife, Linda Kovalsky, and Randy Buckenmyer; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in her memory to Mt.
