Dwight C. McLain, 71, of Columbia, died Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at St Luke's Warren Campus. Born August 25, 1943 in Ridley Twp., PA, he was the son of the late Hilda (Knowles) and Frank McLain Sr. Dwight and his wife Gayle (Freeby) McLain observed their 45th anniversary on May 10, 2014. Dwight was retired from Warren County Landfill and Recycling Center in Oxford NJ. He was a member of Local 825 Operating Engineers for over 30 years. He was involved with the construction of the Merrill Creek Reservoir. He was a 1962 graduate of Belvidere High School, Belvidere NJ. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and watching sports and NASCAR. He was a member of Delaware Presbyterian Church. Dwight was a charter member of the Harmony Twp. Lions Club, and a life time member of the NRA and the North American Hunting Club. In addition to his loving wife Gayle, he is survived by daughters, Marci McLain and Renee McLain of Columbia, NJ; sisters, Janet, Iva, Robin and Wanda; brothers, Roger, Lamont and Todd; as well as many extended family members.
