Lois Mitchell (nee Petrone), of Belvidere, NJ passed away peacefully at home with her loving family at her side on Sunday, April 12, 2015. Born in Newark, NJ, Lois was raised in Irvington and lived for many years in Hanover Township and Long Valley before moving to Belvidere. She was a 1959 graduate of Irvington High School. Lois was quite an artist, an avid bridge player and voracious reader. She was a true sports fan and could be seen rooting for her NY Yankees or NY Giants. Lois taught everyone to follow their heart. Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Phil; son, Philip; grandchildren, Ava and Joshua; sisters, Joanne and Cathirose; brother, Louis; and many other beloved family and friends. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in her memory to Compassionate Care Hospice Foundation, 350 Sparta Ave., Bldg. B, Suite 2, Newton, NJ 07871.
