Wilma B. James, 84, of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 11, 2006 at the Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield Township, NJ. Mrs. James was the Executive Secretary of the Warren County Welfare Board, Belvidere, NJ retiring in 1991. Born in Newark, NJ on April 22, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Wilhelmina Manz Dreyer. She was a member of the U.S. Submarine Veterans of WWII Association. Mrs. James was also a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and active with its literacy program teaching children to read. Her husband, Thomas Ray James had died in 1997. Surviving are a daughter Joane Farr of Easton, PA; a son, James T. of Charlotte, NC; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She will join her husband and other Naval Comrades at sea. Contributions are to be made in her memory to the Warren Haven Memorial Fund, 350 Oxford Road, Oxford, NJ 07863.
