Obituary of Frank J. Fehrenbach

Frank J. Fehrenbach, 82, of White Township, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday June 29, 2006 at Easton Manor Care, Palmer Township, PA. Mr. Fehrenbach was a Police Sergeant with the Irvington Police Department, Irvington, NJ for 30 years before retiring. After retirement he had been a courier for the United National Bank, Blairstown, NJ. Born in Newark, NJ on May 22, 1924, he was the son of the late Frank and Matilda Klingler Fehrenbach. Mr. Fehrenbach had served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. He was wounded in action at Iwo Jima, Volcano Islands and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Medal. He was a parishioner of St. Patrick R.C. Church, Belvidere, NJ, and was a trustee of the church. He served as a Eucharistic Minister and was a member of the Holy Name Society. Frank was a volunteer for the Blue Army Shrine, Washington, NJ. Mr. Fehrenbach was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He had also enjoyed hunting. Mr. Fehrenbach was predeceased by his wife, Marie E. Parrillo Fehrenbach, who died on July 9, 1996. Surviving are a son, James of White Township, NJ; two daughters, Gerilyn Wlodarski of Bartonsville, PA and Elaine Eckard of Phillipsburg, NJ; a brother, Richard of Milford, NJ; two sisters, Matilda Mellusi of Flanders, NJ and Mary Peter of Rahway, NJ; five grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in his memory to St. Patrick R.C. Church.
