Obituary of Betty Jane Spittle

Betty Jane Spittle, 72 , a long time resident of Belvidere, NJ, passed away July 9, 2006 in Lehigh Valley Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born on June 28, 1934 in Harmony Twp., NJ, she was the daughter of the late Fred A. and Vietta Cathers Vannatta. Mrs. Spittle had graduated from Belvidere High School in 1952. Mrs. Spittle was a clerk in the former West Jersey Telephone Co., now the United Telephone Co. (Sprint). She retired in 1981 due to ill health. Mrs. Spittle was a member of the First Baptist Church of Phillipsburg and a member of the Ladies Missionary Group. She was until recently an actual member of The Easton-Phillipsburg Christian Women�(TM)s Group. Her hobbies include reading, being with her family, enjoying her grandchildren and her precious kitties. She will be sadly missed by her beloved husband of 51 years, Harry: Daughters, Karen L. Dennis and her husband Irving of New Albany, OH, Judy A. Spittle, and Linda S. Schreffler and her husband James of Belvidere, NJ. Sisters- Dorothy Sassaman of Belvidere, NJ, Barbara Duimstra and her husband John of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Ruth Kent of Virginia Beach, VA. A brother Fred A. Vannatta and his wife Janet of Allentown, PA. A sister Edith Lewis died earlier. Five beloved grandchildren, Jessica, Heather, Matthew, Jimmy and Jacqueline. Several Aunts and Uncles. Many nieces, nephews and cousins. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in her memory to The Belvidere Ambulance Corps. P.O. Box 128 , Belvidere, NJ 07823.
