Alma Geiger, 82, a life long resident of White Township, NJ, passed away Friday, July 28, 2006 at her home. Mrs. Geiger was the administrative assistant for the Warren County Pequest River Municipal Utilities Authority, White Township, NJ for over 18 years before retiring in 1998. Born in the Cornish section of White Township, NJ on February 3, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Arild and Emma Sunday Luhr. Mrs. Geiger was an active member of the Summerfield United Methodist, White Township, NJ serving as the Choir Director, the United Methodist Women, and the former treasurer of the church. Mrs. Geiger was a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels program. She had enjoyed gardening and was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her husband, Harry A. Geiger had died on November 15, 1986. Surviving are three children, Sanna Scheuerman and her husband Bill of Basking Ridge, NJ, Mark H. Geiger and his wife Donna of East Stroudsburg, PA, and Mary Schott and her husband Bart of Belvidere, NJ; a sister, Carol Bill; a brother, Robert Luhr; three grandchildren, Jocelyn Schott, Morgan and Macy Geiger. A sister, Hazel Harrison, had died earlier. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in her memory to the Summerfield United Methodist Church, 68J Summerfield Road, Belvidere, NJ 07823.
