John Chupick, 79, of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 10, 2006 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Mr. Chupick had worked for Hoffmann-LaRoche Company, Belvidere, NJ for over 30 years in the distribution department before retiring in 1990. Born in Simpson, PA on December 29, 1926, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary Sopko Chupick. John had lived in Clifton, NJ before moving to Belvidere in 1966. Mr. Chupick was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, Alpha, NJ. Mr. Chupick had served in the Navy during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 131, Belvidere, NJ, Athenia Vets, Clifton, NJ, Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph�(TM)s Council 5170, Washington, NJ. Surviving are his wife the former Helen Petrylak; a son, John Chupick Jr. and his wife Lori of Cahann, PA; a brother, Nicholas of Clifton, NJ; three grandchildren, Amanda, Nicholas, and Joseph. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Leukemia society of America, 45 Springfield Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081.
