Obituary of H. Robert Gray

H. Robert “Bob” Gray, 79, of Delaware, NJ, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 08, 2007 at St. Luke�(TM)s Hospital, Bethlehem, PA. Mr. Gray was the field superintendent for J.B. Eurell Company, South Hackensack, NJ before retiring. Prior he had been a member of the Carpenter�(TM)s Union, Local 97, Phillipsburg, NJ. Born on November 6, 1927 in North Arlington, NJ, he was the son of the late John and Mary Torok Gray. He served in the Navy during WWII. Mr. Gray was a communicant of St. Patrick R.C. Church, Belvidere, NJ. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 131, Belvidere, NJ. He had been the organizer of midget wrestling in Belvidere and had also been a little league baseball coach. Predeceasing him were a son, John and great-grandson, Tyler Helmer and his wife, Ellen Mae Mantz Gray, who died on March 7, 2007. Surviving are seven children, Patrick of Pen Argyl, PA, Daniel of New Milford, CT, Kristi Smith, his caregiver, of Upper Mt. Bethel, PA, Elaine Kelley of Brodheadsville, PA, Laurie Bond of Lumberton, MS, Steven of Woodland, ME, and Geoffrey of Williamstown, NJ; 15 grandchildren, Melissa Gray, also a caregiver with whom he lived, Jennifer McFadden, Jan, Michelle, John, Matthew, and Michael Gray, Adrian Templett, Sarah and Cady Kelley, Jason, Robert and Jeremy Morgan, Heather and Walden Smith, 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marie Durholz; a brother, Gerald.
