Mildred Dewey, 88, of Belvidere, NJ passed away on Saturday July 21, 2007 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Born on October 19, 1918 in Belvidere, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Mildred Melberger Alleger. Mrs. Dewey was a member of the Knowlton Presbyterian Church, Columbia, NJ. She was predeceased by her husband Charles F. Dewey who had died on February 22, 1993, a son Ronald C. Dewey who died on May 24, 1989 and a brother, Hiram Alleger Jr.. Surviving are a son, David Dewey of Blairstown, NJ; a daughter, Cheryl Fisher of Stockertown, PA; two sisters, Audrey Croom and Ruth Parsons; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Knowlton Presbyterian Church, 3 Knowlton Road, Columbia, NJ 07832.
