John Peter Chezmar, 91, of White Township, Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully at home with his loving family at his side on Sunday, December 2, 2007. Born on November 1, 1916, in Carteret, NJ, he was the son of the late John and Mary Simko Chezmar. He had lived in Carteret until moving to White Township six years ago. Mr. Chezmar was the owner of B.C. Television & Radio Service in Carteret. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Battle of the Bulge as a Chief Warrant Officer. Mr. Chezmar was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary R.C. Church in Carteret; a member of the American Legion, Carl D. Archer Post 528, White Township, and was an avid outdoorsman. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Mary nee Onder; two daughters, Carol Wissing of Spring Hill, FL, and Patricia Dziubek and her husband Patrick of Pittstown, NJ; a brother, Julius of Washington, D.C.; two grandchildren, Frederick J. and Daniel E. Wissing; four great-grandchildren. Mr. Chezmar was predeceased by an infant daughter, Nancy; two brothers, George and William and a sister.
