Richard C. Osmun, 74 of Belvidere, NJ, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at Warren Hospital, Phillpsburg, NJ Born on March 18, 1933 in Belvidere, NJ, he was the son of the late Harold and Beatrice Vannatta Osmun. Mr. Osmun was the grounds keeper for the Belvidere Board of Education for over 25 years before retiring in 2000. Prior to Belvidere, he was the grounds keeper for Lafayette College. Mr. Osmun was a 1952 graduate of Belvidere High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post 131, Belvidere, NJ. Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Thelma Trach Osmun; a son, Richard C. Jr. and his wife Tracy of Phillipsburg; a daughter, Donna Fortin and her husband Kevin of Palmer Twp., PA; three grandchildren, Tara, Alycia, and Ryan Michael; several nephews and nieces.
