Lillian V. Haring, 90, of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2008 at the Warren Haven Nursing Home, Mansfield Township, NJ. Born on June 14, 1918 in Phillipsburg, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Elwood E. and Hazel R. Murphy Eckert. Mrs. Haring graduated Phillipsburg High School in 1936. She was a telephone operator at the Warren County Court House, Belvidere, NJ for over 20 years before retiring. She was predeceased by two husbands, William S. VanSickle and Milton B. Haring. Surviving are stepchildren, George Haring, Milton Haring and Sylvia Zulauf; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a niece, Carol Stiles. A brother, William Eckert had died earlier. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in her memory to Compassionate Care Hospice, 532 Lafayette Road, Sparta, NJ 07871.
