Obituary of Mary S. Rush

Mary S. Rush, 89, formerly of Belvidere, NJ, died Monday, March 23, 2009 at Kimes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Athens, OH, where she resided for the past eleven years. Born on April 9, 1919 in Easton, Pa, she was the daughter of the late Horace C. and Sarah B. Stout Smith. Mrs. Rush had lived in Belvidere all her life before moving to Athens. She was a 1937 graduate of Belvidere High School. She was the Senior Library Assistant for the Warren County Library before retiring. Mrs. Rush had been a 61 year member of Belvidere United Methodist Church and had been a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Methodist Women. She was predeceased by her husband, Lester R. Rush, who died in 1998. Surviving are two daughters, Jody Stickel and her husband Mark of Athens, OH and Nancy C. Billger of Belvidere, NJ; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a sister, Bessie Fisher and a half sister, Katherine Richards both of Belvidere, NJ; a half brother, Richard Smith and his wife Mary of Piedmont, SC.
