Obituary of Frances E. Burdette

Frances E. Burdette, 96, a resident of Gracedale Nursing Home, Upper Nazareth Township, PA, formerly of Belvidere, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Gracedale. Mrs. Burdette had been the secretary to the superintendent of Warren County for over 31 years before retiring. Born in Belvidere, NJ on August 21, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Hoffman Ely. Mrs. Burdette was a 1930 graduate of Belvidere High School and Churchman Business College. She was a member of the Belvidere United Methodist Church and Pythian Sisters, Lodge #32, Belvidere, NJ. Mrs. Burdette was predeceased by her husband, Garland; two sons, Dale F. and Brian Burdette; a sister, Marion Ely ; a brother, Horace Ely; a great-grandson, Todd Burdette, Jr.. Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Burdette; four grandchildren, Sharon Bisci and her husband William, Denise Brong and her husband Sterling, Dale Burdette Jr. and his wife Martha, Todd Burdette and his wife Christine; eight great-grandchildren, Kristofer, Alyssa, Jonathan, Brianna, Deanna, Samantha, Tyler, Logan; three great-great-grandchildren, Makenzy, Myranda, Sabastian.
