Lois A. Teel, 82, of Harmony Township, NJ, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2009 at Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born on December 4, 1926 in Easton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles B. and Ada L Smith Beers. Lois was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of Belvidere, Order of the Eastern Star, Delaware Chapter #50, and served as the secretary of the Lower Harmony Cemetery Association. Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Melvin J. Teel; two daughters, Diane Friedman and her husband David of Mt. Bethel, PA and Elaine Taylor of Bethlehem, PA; four grandchildren, Daniel and Deanna Friedman and Kevin and Kyle Taylor; a sister, Erma Smith of White Township, NJ. Lois was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in her memory to the United Presbyterian Church of Belvidere Building Fund, 224 Mansfield Street, Belvidere, NJ 07823.
