Loraine W. Gonsky, 84, of Bethlehem, PA, died Monday, May 11, 2009 at Kirkland Village where she was a resident for over two years. Born on March 16, 1925 in Oak Park, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late A.J. and Elsie Wier. Mrs. Gonsky was a graduate of William and Mary College, Williamsburg, VA. Loraine later earned her teaching degree and taught in Washington, Harmony Township and Belvidere School Districts. She was also a librarian, an avid reader and an accomplished bridge player. Loraine was predeceased by her husband, Chester B. Gonsky who died in 1997 and a sister, Virginia Thomas. Surviving are three children, Matthew V. Tirrell, III and his wife Pam of Santa Barbara, CA, David A. Tirrell and his wife Jane of Pasadena, CA and Mary T. Ensslin of Pen Argyl, PA; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
