John Wesley "Wes" Davis, Jr., 70, of Belvidere, NJ passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at his home. Born on May 7, 1939 in Teaneck, NJ, he was the son of the late John Wesley and Ruth Veronica Callan Davis. Wes had a military career in the United States Air Force for 20 years before retiring and had served during the Vietnam War. Wes was a member of the American Legion Post 131, Belvidere; Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5193, Belvidere, where he served as post commander; and Disabled American Veterans. Surviving are his wife, Hideko Moriki Davis; three brothers, Wayne of NC, Glenn of NJ and Jay of CA; a sister, Diane Hoene of CO; several nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers, contributions are requested to be made in his memory to V.F.W. Post 5193, 122 Greenwich Street, Belvidere, NJ 07823.
