Obituary of Gerhard Hoffmann

Gerhard Hoffmann, 77, of the Brookfield section of White Township, Belvidere, NJ, passed away suddenly at his home on Monday August 3, 2009. Born in Schlesien, Germany on March 21, 1932, he was the son of the late Erich and Gertrud Stenke Hoffmann. Mr. Hoffmann immigrated from Germany in 1952, he had lived in Wayne, NJ and Hudson, NH before moving to Belvidere nine years ago. Mr. Hoffmann was the president of Hoffmann Steel Rule Dies of Paterson, NJ and Hudson, NH. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Hoffmann was an avid bicyclist, enjoyed playing pool and swimming. He was a member of the American Legion, Post 131, Belvidere, NJ. Surviving are his wife, Ingrid Dahlmann Hoffmann; a son-in-law, David Felder; a grandson, Ryan Felder. Mr. Hoffmann was predeceased by his daughter Linda H. Felder who died September 11, 2008.
