Evelyn E. Carlin, 83 of Belvidere, NJ, passed away Thursday, August 06, 2009 at Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg, NJ. Born in Patterson, NJ on January 22, 1926, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Farrell Norwich. Mrs. Carlin had resided in Martinsville, NJ, 25 years in Hilton Head, SC before moving to Belvidere 10 years ago. Previously, Mrs. Carlin had been the secretary for St. Francis by the Sea R.C. Church, Hilton Head, SC. Mrs. Carlin was predeceased by her husband, John J. Carlin who died in September 1999 and a sister, Dorothy Warren. Surviving are her children, John J. of Hilton Head, SC, William J. and his wife Phyllis of Bath, PA, Kevin J. and his wife Sara of Seqin, TX, Michael J. of Somerville, NJ, Mary Smith and her husband Kenneth J. of Somerville, NJ and Dorothy Carlin of Belvidere, NJ; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
