Obituary of Felicia A. Makatura

Felicia A. Makatura, 80, of White Township, NJ passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, August 14, 2009. Born on August 30, 1928 in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Lucille Savenelli Zarate. Mrs. Makatura retired as a waitress and a fabric assistant for Joann's Fabrics. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick R.C. Church, Belvidere, NJ. She was a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. She was an avid pinochle player and enjoyed working on crossword puzzles. Mrs. Makatura was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles A. Makatura who died June 28, 2003 and a brother, Eugene Zarate. Surviving are three daughters, Andrea Posivak and her husband Dave of Bethlehem, PA, Elaine Makatura of Bordentown, NJ, and Kristine Makatura and her husband Tom Gray of Phillipsburg, NJ; a son, Charles A. Makatura Jr. and his wife Beth of Belvidere, NJ; six grandchildren, Tracy Prostko, Christopher Bosco, Scott Posivak, Julianne Makatura, Deborah Fuhrmann, and Charles A. Makatura III; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Vincent R. Zarate of Bordentown, NJ. Contributions are requested to be made in her memory to the Belvidere Ambulance Corps P.O.
