Your Dad was an amazing inspiration to all of us! I'm sure he accomplished everything on his "Bucket List".
I would like to send thoughts and prayers to the family. I have fond memories of Nels and Muriel. I worked for them way back when it was the Belvidere News and Stationary. We had wonderful times and the memories are endless.
God bles his family and please give my reguards to Muriel.
I may have moved away from Belvidere but a piece of me will always be there.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of Nels family. What a loss to you and the community. They don't make em like that anymore. Belvidere will be a bit empty without his presence. We are thankful that we had the opportunity to know such a wonderful man. Sorry we will not be there to share your grief as we will be out of town. God Bless You All
My memories of Uncle Nels in Cape May will last forever...he always had so much energy and could mash my red potatoes to perfection.
A great loss to the family, of a kind, caring, loving, funny MAN! He has given us all the strength to live a full and happy life. He has inspired alot of us within the family and yes, a true icon that will be greatly missed! I thank him for many many things! May he rest in peace and party hardy with my dad and many others from our family that have passed, they all look down on each and every one of us!
Uncle Nels was a larger-than-life personality. I treasure my memories of him, Cape May, and his "special" recipes. His cure for a baby teething - apple jack rubbed on the gums - was both effective and unconventional. May he rest in peace. Meredith DePaolo & Hamel Shah
Our deepest sympathies to the Dalrymple family. Nels was a true icon of Belvidere and any place he ventured. He was full of life until the very end. few can live it so well. He set an example of hard work and living life not only well but to the fullest. Heaven is a little brighter because he is there. May God give you peace and his memory give you joy.
Our family is very sorry for your loss. We all loved Nels and will treasure the fun he brought to our lives. What a guy! It is doubtful we will make it to the service since we will be in Washington. Please know we are thinking of you all.
My prayers are with you all. May God give you comfort, in all the wonderful memories you have together, thru the years....He was like family to me too, I will truly miss him.....Wish I could be with you all at this time....Sending hugs, and prayers, Love Diane
To The Dalrymple Family, My thoughts are with you during this difficult time. I met Nels 15 years ago when I starting sharing one of his watering holes at the apple press. We both took a liking to the special "cider" there. He always made everyone laugh. Always remember, "when someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure". Loving and knowing Nels, you have discovered that treasure and no one can ever take it away from you. May memories comfort you and may time heal your sorrow.
To All The Dalrymples, You all have my sympathy for your loss. I remember picnics in Nels' yard, with him gilling and cooking clams. Also dinners Friday nights at the Rancho with the gang.
My deepest condolences to Aunt Meg, my cousins and their families during this time of great loss. Uncle Nels was a Belvidere icon who was a wonderful, caring, kind man who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
After all his years of dedicated service, Nels will be greatly missed by his friends at the Warren County Road Department. During this most difficult time our thoughts and prayers are with you.
What great memories of Nels and the Dalrymple family of Hardwick Street!Going downtown to his store and seeing him around Belvidere will always be a favorite memory of mine. Heartfelt sympathy to Brad and all the family and may the precious times with Nels bring a smile to you all during this sad time.
What can be said about a MAN that touched my life in so many ways over the years. Nels was a friend to many and a mentor to all of us that grew up on that block in Belvidere. From Pete the rooster (chasing me home) to coming over and seeing those gigantic MAINE deer hanging in the back yard, the tree house, Belvidere Ambulance Corps, Cape May, those awesome tomato's (that to this day I still can't grow as you did) and I could go on and on. I can't think of a better way to be a kid then to do it on that block in Belvidere with all those great kids and adults. You were part of building S-Every in Maine and as a lot of us know the memories from that hunting camp will go on forever, generation after generation.
Nels, until we all meet again in that big HUNTING camp in the sky, my HAT is off to a great man and his family !!
Uncle Nels was a very special and caring person. I have great memories of him and he will be missed very much. May he rest in peace!
Nelson will be missed in the Cedar Kingdom Condolances from Warren County Forest #14
"Nels" was a big part of our lives growing up not only in "Nels's Belvidere News but living on Hardwick Street as neighbors. Bonnie was a good friend and she & I as teenagers made many memories sitting in a booth drinking vanilla cokes. We saw him and Meg at the Diner many mornings & went over some of our memories. Sending our sympathy to the family for he will surely be missed
